Biography

Mr. Herrema graduated from Southern Methodist University Law School in 2017 and immediately joined the Firm at that time. Ethan also obtained his bachelor’s degree in political science from Dallas Baptist University in 2014. Ethan is a native of Washington state, but has resided in Dallas since 2010.

Ethan practices primarily in the area of commercial litigation and is lead counsel on a number of matters. In addition to his primary cases, Ethan has also assisted more senior attorneys with cases involving temporary injunctionslandlord-tenant matters, mechanic’s liens, and various post-judgment matters.

Representative Cases:

  • Representation of a food manufacturer against a flooring company. Obtained a summary judgment in favor of our client on all counts and all relief requested was awarded.
  • Representation of a loan company against an individual. Oversaw post-judgment efforts and spearheaded negotiations that resulted in collection in full for the client.
  • Representation of a company accusing a Fortune 500 Company defense contractor of non-payment for work performed in a Federal government contracts case. Organized extensive discovery requests.
  • Representation of an auto corporation being accused of breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. Litigated to get all claims dismissed against client.
  • Representation of a client who had an improper Judgment against them. Litigated to re-open the case and move towards a new trial.
  • Representation of a construction equipment company in multiple matters, a majority of which have resulted in collection in full.
  • Tried a case while representing a subcontractor in a breach of contract suit that evolved into the Defendant filing an 8-figure counterclaim. Able to resolve the counter claim to client’s satisfaction as it was reduced to zero.
  • Representation of judgment debtors by advising them how to protect their assets against collection from the judgment creditor.
  • Transactional work includes drafting multiple promissory notes and lease addendums within a variety of matters.
