Melissa Parker graduated Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2012, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2008. She joined Cook Keith & Davis from 2012 to 2017 and rejoined the firm in 2021.
Melissa’s practice centers on collections and commercial litigation across a wide range of courts and proceedings. She appears in all Texas courts — Justice Court, Probate Court, County Court at Law, District Court, and Federal Court — and represents clients in arbitration before AAA, JAMS, and FINRA. Her collections work covers trade receivables, notes receivable, obtaining judgments, and the full range of post-judgment enforcement including writs of execution, written discovery, garnishment, contempt motions, and receiverships.
She also advises contractors and subcontractors on collecting debts, filing liens, and bond issues, and prosecutes post-judgment fraudulent transfer actions.
