Stephen W. Davis joined Cook Keith & Davis in January 2010, after earning his law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2009. He was named partner in July 2022. Before law school, Stephen graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising.
Stephen’s practice spans commercial litigation, bankruptcy creditor representation, appellate work, and judgment defense. He has particular depth in representing creditors in complex bankruptcy proceedings, in cases involving government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations, and in appellate matters — including mandamus relief in the Dallas Court of Appeals.
His appellate experience is notable. He has obtained mandamus relief twice in named published opinions, overturning trial court orders in fast-moving situations where delay would have caused irreparable harm to his clients.
